

SECOND CHANCE PLANS
The following collection of homes, for one reason or another, have been left to "wither on the vine,"
so to speak; unfinished on the drafting board. Some are simply ideas I've been toying with - perhaps a
middle-of-the-night inspiration for example. Others are actual projects that were terminated
midstream, or redirected onwards to something new. Whatever the reason, the following selections
represent some of my favorite unfulfilled plans in which I'd be pleased to live myself.
These plans are of a preliminary nature, that is, they were created as design proposals for the purpose
of presenting a conceptual idea. To become buildable custom plans, further work would be
neccessary. You will be viewing copyright study plans of the floorplans and an elevation or two.
As you begin the quest for your perfect home plan, consider some of the ideas presented here. Each
home speaks differently to its observer. I try to capture elements, shapes, styles and proportions that
appeal to me personally. I enjoy a home that looks pleasant on all four sides, not just the front facade,
and I imagine myself taking an evening stroll "around the grounds," enjoying the building from all
angles. You may wish to do the same.

Villa Geneve began as a full makeover of a builder-plan with a classic French
facade. A new floorplan was created behind the facade, resulting in a lovely
building from all angles.

Belrosa Cottage
Belrosa Cottage is as good looking and functional as it is Green. Designed for
maximum efficiency, this compact little home offers big home features. Utilizing
25% less material and footprint than an equivalent ranch-style home, Belrosa Cottage
is more energy efficient and earth-friendly! Fewer materials means better quality for
the same price.

Hermance
Ravello
Hermance is a charming plan that offers features found only in large custom home
plans. The entry is understated and welcoming, without trying to overwhelm
visitors. The wonderful living spaces are introduced later on where they can be
appreciated. The plan is compact and efficiently utilizes all the volume of the
structure with little wasted space. With the garages placed beneath the structure, all
4 elevations have views and look fantastic. The rear court offers the option of a
lovely guest cottage or pool cabana enclosed in a private garden
